Our objective is to promote the delivery of high quality and consistent services, investing in prevention, promoting self-care, health and wellbeing.
Our aim is to encourage an integrated workforce to develop a multi-disciplinary team that connects the patient directly with the most appropriate professional, thus providing a wider range of properly resourced services for our community.
We encourage our members to maximise the use of available resources to provide services in the right place at the right time, to the right patient and to continue to reinvest in improvements for a sustainable general practice.
Patients and practices sit at the heart of all we do. Quality and equality are our guiding principles.
Communication and engagement is a two-way process between board and shareholders and PCLMS will function fairly and honestly, with integrity and accountability.
Our goal is to have a positive impact and provide reliable, adaptable and robust support to our member practices.
PCLMS is governed by company law and the board of directors have a legal duty to act in the best interest of the company and all shareholders equally.
Shareholders have a duty not to do anything that could be deemed to undermine the board or the company. This includes not sharing company information with anyone outside of the company.
The board of directors should always be the first point of contact for any questions or concerns.
The board has historically and continues to work hard to foster a good working relationship with other stake holders (CCG, NLAG, ULHT, LCHS etc). Should you have any complaints, the board of directors should be contacted initially.
Above all else, PCLMS is run by local general practice for the benefit of our local population. We remain sensitive to the varying needs of different parts of our population.
We understand the pressures you face. We protect our NHS services and keep care close to home.
